Obituary

SHEACH: Winnifred Jane Sheach (nee Arnold) passed away at her residence, Central Park Lodge, on Saturday, April 9, 2005. Winnie was born on March 15, 1910 in Hazelmere Surrey, England. She came to Canada in 1916 with her mother, brother and sister to a farm in Palmer, SK. She lived her early life in Saskatchewan and after her marriage to George Sheach in June of 1931, they moved to the Pendennis District. In 1936 they moved to 22-11-19 in the Elton District and together they built a successful dairy of Aryshire cattle. Winnie is survived by her only son, George (Sheila); two grandchildren, David (Lana) Sheach and Jo-Ann (Andrew) Porterfield; and four great grandchildren, Mitchell, Cloe, Luke and Kate. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Darch of Edmonton as well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws in Scotland. Winnie was predeceased by her husband, George (1985); mother, Kate (1949), father, Thomas (1916) and brother, Edgar (1983). Winnie will always be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her love for animals and always being delighted in the arrival of a new calf. She also made the best ever oatmeal cookies in the world. Winnie enjoyed her two grandchildren and followed them into their adult years. The thrill of her life was the arrival of her great grandchildren. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, 5th Street and Southern Avenue, on Monday, April 18, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Jim Brown and Rev. Chris Arthur will officiate. Interment will follow in the Roseville Cemetery at a later date. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Winnie to a charity of choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to memorieschapel@mts.net. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330. Memorials
