PIERSON: Willis "Bill" peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife Joan of 66 years. He will be dearly missed by his children Sandra, Richard (Carolyn) and Michael (Pam), four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his sister Olive Elliott, sister-in-law Gerry Glass and brother-in-law Bill (Dianne) Conroy. Bill was predeceased by his brother Irwin and sisters Margaret and Joyce. Following his 44-year career with Manitoba Pool Elevators, Bill and Joan retired in Brandon. Bill was an avid sports fan playing baseball and, in his retirement, enjoying golf and curling. His love and skill at woodworking produced many treasures that we cherish in our homes. Bill also enjoyed spending many hours volunteering at the Brandon Armoury. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Valleyview Care Centre for their wonderful care over the past 3 years. A graveside service will be planned at a later date when it is safe to gather together.
