STOVOLD: William Percy (Bill) Stovold passed away suddenly at his home in Brandon on Sunday, September 26, 1999 at the age of 66 years. Bill spent his early years in Toronto area where he joined the Canadian Army. While he was posted in Edmonton he met his wife of 42 years, Lorna Hall. Together they started their life togther and raised four children. In 1979, Bill and his family moved to Brandon and started a family business, which he ran until he was forced to retire early due to illness. After a short time, Bill found himself working with different organizations as a volunteer. He shared his time freely helping people in need at the Helping Hands Soup Kitchen and Rocky Addison's Annual Christmas Dinner, among others. He also volunteered his time helping local businesses get the same start he did with his and served for many years on the board of the Spruce Woods Housing Co-op. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to his wife Lorna, 4 children, and 11 grandchildren and he will be missed and forever loved by each and every one of us. Funeral Service was held Thursday, September 30, 1999 at Memories Chapel. Interment was in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
