Obituary

JAFFRAY: William Alexander Jaffray of Brandon, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, June 3, 2004. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Monday, June 7, 2004 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Gary Jennings of Calvary Temple will officiate. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Bill to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 3-824-18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 5B7. Complete obituary information will follow. JAFFRAY: William Alexander Jaffray of Brandon, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Thursday, June 3, 2004. Bill was born in Brandon on January 11, 1924, the youngest son of George and Jean Jaffray. The family moved to Rocanville, Saskatchewan when Bill was an infant. Here he received his education and spent his early adult years. Bill served with the 4th Armoured Battalion during WW II. He retired from the army after many years as a civil servant. Bill married Sonia Walker in 1958 and together they raised their six children, of whom they were very proud. His interests included: fishing, his flower beds and most of all his family and country. Bill is survived by: his children, Leslie, Bruce, Michelle, Ian, Glen and David Jaffray; grandchildren, Chris (Kim), Jared, Kendra, Amanda and Josh; brothers, Jim (Winnie) Jaffray, Ted (Anne) Jaffray; sisters, Grace Boles, and Jean Jack. He was predeceased by: his beloved wife, Sonia; parents, Jean and George Jaffray; brother, Jack Jaffray. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Tuesday, June 8, 2004. Pastor Gary Jennings of Calvary Temple officiated. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
