CRIGGIE: The death of William Robert "Bill" Criggie, age 47 years, beloved husband of Marianne, dear father of Robert and Andrew, occurred suddenly in Brandon on Monday, July 7, 2003. A time of visitation for friends will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday (tonight) July 10, 2003 from 7:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. and also on Friday, July 11, 2003 from 10:30 am. until 12:00 noon. The Ceremony to Celebrate Bill's Life will be held at Central United Church, 327-8th St. on Friday at 1:30 pm. Pastor David K. Ramsey of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. CRIGGIE: The death of William Robert "Bill" Criggie, age 47 years, beloved husband of Marianne, dear father of Rob and Andrew, occurred suddenly in Brandon on Monday, July 7, 2003. Bill was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 8, 1956 to Robert and Barbara Criggie. He received his early schooling in Esterhazy, SK and Winnipeg, completing his High School in Watrous, SK. His Uncle Albert taught him the tricks of fishing and hunting. As a young man, Bill participated in the Scouts and Air Cadets. He also enjoyed playing baseball, fishing, and camping. Later he became a motorcycle enthusiast and his pride and joy was his Harley Davidson. Bill worked in floor covering sales for 25 years until he joined Sunridge Homes. This move allowed him to continue what he enjoyed- working with people. Fraternally, Bill was an active member of Fenwick Lodge #158, A.F. & A.M. He was also a member of the Manitoba Wildlife Association and had won numerous Master Angler Awards. Bill was always there to cheer on the Brandon Wheat Kings. His interests continued to be fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening. He could be found whistling or singing his own little tune while doing any of these activities. Family and friends were very special to Bill and he enjoyed teasing everyone, especially his nieces and nephews. Bill always had a humorous story to share. He was a dedicated husband and loving father. Bill is survived by: his loving wife of 25 years, Marianne and beloved sons Rob and Andrew; his parents Robert and Barbara; brother and sisters, Ron Criggie, Janet Sutherland (Cam), Jo- Anne Cook (Garth); nieces and nephews, Nicole, Jennifer, Janna, Rebecca, Jaclynn, and Mitchell; mother-in-law, Charlotte Airey; sisters-in-law, Marlaine (Don) Stevens and Mona-Jill (Tom) Eremondi; brothers-in-law, Maurice Airey, Glen (Arlene) and Gerald Harasymchuk; and their children, Jon, Dean, Joey, Kaby, and Sophie. There are numerous relatives and special friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents; his aunt Marlene Jones and uncles Bob Livingston and Albert Unrau. The Ceremony to Celebrate Bill's Life was held at Central United Church on Friday, July 11, 2003. Pastor David K. Ramsey of Grace Lutheran Church officiated. Pallbearers were Frank Hyndman, Ron Irwin, Mark Jenkins, Mike Mosiuk, Brian Noto and Ozzie Oswald.
