HOLMES + COURT: William Walter "Bill" Holmes a Court passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, August 29, 2008. The Ceremony to Celebrate Bill's Life will be held at Calvary Temple, 620-34th Street, on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Gary Jennings will officiate. Interment will be held at the Minnedosa Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to Calvary Temple, Youth Missions, 620 34th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7B 2R7. HOLMES + COURT: William Walter of Brandon, passed away peacefully on August 29th, 2008 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Bill was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on October 13, 1948. As a young boy he lived in Swift Current and Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and Minnedosa, Manitoba. Bill had a love for music from a very young age. He played the Clarinet in the Moose Jaw Junior Band for a few years. After High school Bill attended Emmanuel College at the University of Saskatchewan. Bill worked in the hospitality industry for several years in Calgary, Saskatoon and Brandon. Bill was loved and appreciated for his faithful service in many areas of ministry through Calvary Temple. For over nine years Bill conducted Sunday worship services at the Assiniboine Centre and some of the personal care homes in Brandon. Bill also lead several Bible Study groups through Calvary Temple and was a special speaker for youth and young adult groups. He mentored a few young men and shared at a weekly men's prayer breakfast. Bill will be sadly missed by his Church family and the lives of those he influenced. Bill is predeceased by his father William and brother Eric. Bill will be sadly missed by his mother Elizabeth; sisters: Margaret (Ron) Chevrefils, Deborah (Francis) Nogier, and Barbara (Ross) Russell; brother Phil and numerous nieces and nephews. Also Bill's special Brothers and Sisters in the Lord who were always there for him: Fred and Sue Olive, Doug and Mary Jane Lawrence, Dave and Anne Eaton, Murray and Mary Carr, Shirley Metcalfe, Doreen Dement and Richard Judson.
