COX: Wilbert James "Willie" Cox of Brandon, beloved husband of the late Mildred Cox, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, November 18, 2005. Willie was born on November 13, 1929 in Calgary, AB, the son of James and Donalda Cox. He worked as a mechanic in Rivers and Brandon throughout the years. He met Mildred May Wilson in Rivers and they were married in July of 1951. Willie was a volunteer fire fighter in Rivers and enjoyed curling, water skiing and billiards. He will be lovingly remembered by: his children, Delores (James) McTavish, Murray (Karen) Cox and Robert (Carron) Cox; grandchildren, Eric McTavish, Bree McTavish and Jared Cox; great grandchildren, Kaden, Blaise and Nolan; and one brother, Hugh Cox. Willie was predeceased by his wife, Mildred and parents, James and Donalda. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, November 23, 2005. The Rev. Barbara Jardine officiated. Eulogy was given by Dennis Brugger. Pallbearers were: Ed Melinchuk, Doug Madden, Ed Shuttleworth, Larry Cox, Gary Miller and Jack Kollinger. Interment followed in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
