Our Sweet Little Boy.

Wesley Jacob Vandyk passed away unexpectedly March 25, 2026, embraced by Mom and Dad at HSC Winnipeg. He was born on December 6, 2025 to Rosanne and Steven Vandyk in Brandon. Wesley will always be our sweet little boy. He spent his first 52 days in NICU care, a month and a half at home, and 19 days in the children's ward. Wesley had AVSD, and was a member of the exclusive Down Syndrome Club. We called him special in the greatest sense of the word. He abounded in resilience, strength, and quickly captured everyone's heart with his blue eyes and full round cheeks. He showed us his curiosity, his attitude, and a joy that we will always miss. He was very content, curious, and full of potential, but God called him home. Wesley had a spark that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Wesley is survived by Rosanne(Mama) and Steve(Daddy); siblings Brayden and Leah; grandparents, Bert and Rita, Mike and Barb; Great-Grandma Emma "Beppa"; uncles and aunts, Amaris, Mark and Alana, Carl and Dee, Ashley, David and Amanda, and Paul; and 10 cousins.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 1pm at the First Christian Reformed Church, 1509 Victoria Ave, Brandon, MB R7A 1B7.

Interment will take place following the service at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
