KRESHEWSKI: After a three year courageous battle with cancer, Wayne Kreshewski went home to be with Jesus, whom he loved very much, on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Wayne was born June 26, 1952, in Brandon. He grew up in Brandon, but spent many weekends and summer months on the family farm in Olha, Manitoba. Wayne loved working on the farm, especially when he got to drive the tractor. He received his education at Fleming School and Vincent Massey High School. Wayne worked at the Royal Oak Inn for thirty-four years, loving every moment of his job. Following the onset of cancer in 2005, although not able to continue working, Wayne spent much of his time fellowshipping over a cup of coffee with his co-workers, friends and family. He cherished his church, especially when he worked in Crusaders and BG Clubs, being a part of the Sonbeam small group and being on the team for the Valleyview Care Home Services. Wayne took great pleasure being an usher, and having the opportunity to meet and greet folks. He enjoyed going to the Brandon Wheat Kings games, and snowmobiling and 4x4ing with relatives and friends on the family farm. He loved to travel on his journeys, which took him all across Canada and many parts of the USA. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his parents Dick and Marion, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Anne Kreshewski; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Catherine Badger. The Ceremony to Celebrate Wayne's Life will be held at Calvary Temple, 620 34th Street, on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Gary Jennings will officiate. Pallbearers will be Larry Kreshewsky, Michael Kryshewsky, John Kryshewsky, Murray Elliott, Bradley McDonald, and Bill Finch. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Wayne may be made to The Gideon's, PO Box 3619, Stn. Main, Guelph, Ontario, N1H 9Z9 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 9Z9. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
