Wai-Man Lee passed away peacefully March 12, 1999 after a courageous fight with cancer. Wai-Man Lee was born August 28, 1925 in Tai Shan, Canton, China and married his wife Suet-Kiu in 1948. In order to support his family, Wai-Man was left with no choice and moved to Venezuela, South America. There he operated a very successful wholesale grocery business. After 26 years, in 1982, he was finally reunited with his family in Canada. Wai-Man was an extremely kind and generous man. All his friends remember him as a very cheerful and fun-loving person with a great sense of humour. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and his love for his family was unconditional. Even during his battle with cancer, his pain was overcome by his priority to comfort his family, especially his grandchildren. Wai-Man Lee, the man we proudly call our husband, father, father-in-law or grandfather, left us with words that we will cherish for the rest of our lives; "No matter how hard life gets, never give up. Love and determination make everything work out in the end."
