Obituary

McCULLAGH: The death of Vivian Beryl McCullagh, widow of Charles Frederick McCullagh, dear mother of Richard (Shirley), Franklin and Avril McCullagh, occurred at her residence, Fairview Home, Brandon on Friday, February 18, 2005. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at St. Matthew's Cathedral, 403-13th Street, Brandon on Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. The Very Rev. Robin Walker will officiate. The Graveside Service will be held at the Killarney cemetery, Killarney, Manitoba on Thursday at 2:00 pm. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Mrs. McCullagh to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Westman Region, 437-9th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4A9. Complete obituary information will follow. McCULLAGH: The death of Vivian Beryl McCullagh (nee Lackey) occurred at her residence, Fairview Home, Brandon on Friday, February 18, 2005. Vivian was born on February 23, 1919 in Creelman, Saskatchewan. She grew up on the farm and attended school in the area. After completing grade 12, she moved to Killarney where she met her future husband Charles. The two were married on September 21, 1941. The two lived in Flin Flon, Boissevain and Desford until 1955. From there they moved to Brandon, and then on to Thunder Bay in '68. Then in 1992 they moved back to Brandon where they stayed. Vivian worked as a sales clerk at Eaton's in both Brandon and Thunder Bay. She belonged to the Eastern Star women's auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, knitting, singing for many special occasions, in church choirs and barbershop, and also playing the piano. Vivian was predeceased by her husband, Charlie on March 11, 2002. She is survived by: her sons Richard (Shirley) and Franklin; and daughter Avril (Jamie). The Funeral Ceremony was held at St. Matthew's Cathedral on Thursday, February 24, 2005. The Very Rev. Robin Walker officiated. Pallbearers were: Kurt McCullagh, Dan Cormier, Troy Steingard, Jason Dueck, Cecil Huff and Jim McCullagh. Interment followed in the Killarney Cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Vivian to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, Westman Region, 437-9th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 4A9.
