MONTGOMERY: The death of Violet Caroline Montgomery of Brandon, widow of the late David Montgomery and dear mother to Margaret Ann, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Vi was a longtime Brandon resident. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Ann Montgomery (Dave Andrey) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside was held at the Brandon Cemetery on Saturday, August 24, 2013 followed by a Come and Go reception celebrating Vi's life which was held at Memories Chapel from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Urn bearers were Ed Bartlett and Joan Imrie, a very special nephew and niece. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Vi may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation - "Palliative Care Services", 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3.
