KOWALL: In loving memory of Victoria Kowall who passed away peacefully at Central Park Lodge on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at the age of 84 years. Victoria was born in Yellow Creek, Saskatchewan, on August 12, 1921, the daughter of Anastasia and William Mazur. Victoria was raised, educated and farmed with her mother in the Yellow Creek area. In 1944, she married Peter Kowall. They farmed together in Tarnapol, Saskatchewan, then moved to Bowsman, Manitoba and finally to Brandon in 1958. Victoria enjoyed gardening, collecting recipe books for baking and had a love for fashion (jewellery), calico cats and farming. She demonstrated a natural talent and skill for music throughout her lifetime, playing the mandolin and violin from an early age and the electric organ later in her life. Victoria continued her years of employment in Brandon as well as farming a half section of land with Peter in the South Brandon district from 1966 until 1997. Victoria leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, two daughters, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Dennis (Lynda) of Brandon and Family, Vicky (Collin) Walker of Gimli and Family, Victor (Lisa) of Brandon and Family and Liz (Craig) Lobban of Tyndall and Family, one sister: Lena Rogozinski of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and other Family and Friends. Victoria was predeceased by her husband Peter (2001), one infant daughter (Emily), her parents (Anastasia and William) and two brothers (Emil and Max). The Ceremony of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, January 7, 2006, with Rev. Fr. Leo Fernandes of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers are all those who have known and shared in her life. The family members express their gratitude for your kindness evidenced in thought, word and deed.
