METCALFE: It is with great sadness that the family of Velma Irene Metcalfe (nee Dempsey) announce the passing of their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She passed away quietly on the evening of August 14, 2007 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, Palliative Care Ward at the age of 75 years. Velma is survived by her husband James Earle Metcalfe of Brandon; daughter Cheryl (Barry) Tereck and granddaughter Janelle of Winnipeg; daughter Joanne Metcalfe (Ken Davidson) of Neepawa and granddaughters Leigh Anne and Janna Lynn; son Ross Metcalfe (Leeanne Meek) of Brandon. Velma was predeceased by her son James "Garth" Metcalfe of Brandon. A quiet family service was held on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Carroll, Manitoba. Velma's quiet and gentle nature will be missed by all. Flowers are gratefully declined.
