MICHALUK: The death of Thomas Wayne "Tom" Michaluk, of Brandon, occurred at his residence in the city on Saturday, February 24, 2007. The Ceremony to Celebrate Tom's Life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 339-12th Street on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 11:00 am. Arlene Robertson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rivers Cemetery, Rivers, Manitoba. MICHALUK: Thomas Wayne Michaluk of Brandon, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the age of 44. Tom was born in Portage La Prairie on July 12, 1962. The family eventually settled in Rivers where Tom received his education. He moved to Brandon in 1982 to attend Assiniboine Community College where he received a Diploma in Electronic Repair. Tom was currently employed for Manitoba Telecom System where his natural ability for repair was put to good use. Tom could fix anything it seemed, he spent many hours helping friends and family with many projects. Tom was a shop steward for the IBEW. He loved his job and the many people he met throughout the province. Tom will be remembered for his off beat sense of humour, his dedication and devotion to his children, his strong work ethic and his general appreciation of those around him. Tom was always there to lend a hand or an ear, whatever was needed at the time. Tom will be sadly missed by his children Kristyn and Mathew; his mother Margaret of Rivers, Manitoba; brothers Harold, Rick (Collette), and Jim; sisters Kim and Karen (Hank) Allen. He is also survived and missed by many nephews, nieces, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Harry Michaluk, in 2004.
