SHERB: The passing of Thelma Sherb occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, June 14, 2005. The Ceremony to Celebrate Thelma's Life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 361 Russell Street, Brandon on Friday, June 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Sakasov will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Thelma may be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 361 Russell Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 5H6 or to a charity of one's choice. SHERB: The passing of Thelma Sherb occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, June 14, 2005. Thelma was born on January 7, 1926, the daughter of Murray and Lillie Mae Lounsbury, in Treherne, Manitoba. The family moved to Brandon when Thelma was an infant and resided on the east side of the city. Thelma received her education at King George, Earl Haig Schools, Brandon Collegiate and the Brandon Business School. After completing school, Thelma began working at the Bank of Montreal in Hartney. After she married, Lloyd Sherb, she worked at various places including: Bell Bottling, Sears and Brandon Cold Storage. She eventually became the bookkeeper for Dilley? Florists until her retirement. Thelma was a member of the Order of the Royal Purple, WIBC Bowling and St. Andrews Church. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, bowling, needlepoint, knitting, crafts, bingo and her cottage at Sandy Lake. Thelma will be lovingly remembered by her children, Joy (Darren) Naundorf, Thomas (Jeanette) Sherb, Jim (Paulette) Sherb and Doug (Sherrell) Sherb; grandchildren, Rhonda, Kim, Shawna, Terry, Melanie, Chris, Brianne, Angela and Steven. She will also be dearly missed by her eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Opal Raymer of Brandon and Evelyn (Harry) Weiduwilt of Creston, BC. Thelma was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Lloyd Sherb; parents, Murray and Lillie Mae Lounsbury; brother Howard ??unsbury; sisters, Rita Cornell and Eva Spratley. The Ceremony to Celebrate Thelma's Life was held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 17, 2005. Rev. Paul Sakasov officiated. Interment followed in Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
