MALUTA: Sylvia passed peacefully to rest on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Hillcrest Place in Brandon after a lengthy illness. Sylvia was born in Sheho, SK on July 21,1928. Most of her adult life was spent in Flin Flon, MB raising her family until she retired to Brandon, MB in 1985. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Bill Maluta in 2011, daughter Donna Maluta in 2012, parents George and Effie Petruschak of Sheho, SK, sisters Josephine and Violet and brother Walter Petruschak. Sylvia is survived by daughter Shirley of Winnipeg and son Raymond of Naples, Florida, as well as 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family will cherish Sylvia's memory privately. The family is forever grateful to the staff at Hillcrest Place who so warmly cared for mom through the final stage of her life journey.
