KILBRIDE: Susan Kilbride (Badham) of Brandon, formerly of Victoria, BC, passed away in Brandon on Saturday, October 19, 2002. Susan was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on February 26, 1958, the daughter of Moses and Dorothy Badham. In her earlier years, she attended school at Moose Jaw and then moved to Notre Dame at Wilcox, SK. Following the family move to Brandon, she completed her high school. During her early years, Susan's sister, Wendy, was like a mother to her. Susan was in every sport she could get into, but loved her baseball years the best. She also enjoyed all her friends, and had special fun times with them. She was a strong willed, independent person with a heart of gold. Susan often talked recently, of her many fun encounters and special people in her life, while growing up. She treasured her family visits and always put family first in her life. Susan eventually joined the insurance industry working her way into a prestigious position of skill and compassion. Her most recent position held, until she took ill, was a rehabilitation coordinator with the Insurance Corporation of B.C. in Victoria. Her skills of empathy and great direction, along with her pride for helping the families she worked with, brought her much satisfaction and admiration from all. She had been in many organizations throughout her time in the industry. Some of the organizations she was involved in were: Rehabilitation Professional Network, The BC Independent Adjusters Association, Insurance Institute of Canada, and the National Education Committee. Susan was the past president of the Vancouver Island Chapter of the Insurance Institute of BC. She had also obtained her A.A.I.C. Susan's greatest pride and accomplishment in her life was her daughter, Michaela. She lived and flourished to have Michaela's life full of memories, good schooling, and many activities. Michaela has been a lovable, huggable child always, and until the end, has been Susan's greatest worry and concern. She loved her more than anything in the world and was very saddened to know that she was leaving her. Susan is survived by: her young daughter, Michaela (Michaela's dad, Michael Kilbride of BC); brother, Bill (Rose) Badham of Brandon; three sisters, Wendy (Vince) Barcellona of Brandon, their children, Salvatore, Robert (Leanne) and Brian (Teresa); Darlene (John) Van Mulligen of Brandon, their children, Deanna (Barry) Komar, Chris (Jean); Ellen Preston of Moose Jaw and her children, Jodie, Danny, Tanya and Kenda. She also leaves; Michaela's grandma, Louise Kilbride of New Bruinswick and her families; Ernie Harkness of Victoria and his families; all her cousins and relatives in Winnipeg and on the west and east coasts. Susan also leaves all her dear and close friends in Victoria, her peers at work and school.
