Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Stuart Kille on May 5, 2001 at Brandon, Manitoba. Stuart was born in Rapid City, Manitoba on October 3, 1919, the eldest son of Victor and Alice Kille. He received his education at Wallace School. As a young man, Stu made his home in Minnedosa. He pursued his interest in cars in the automotive field working for Stewarts, Bullards, and Stephenson's Motors, to name a few. In later years he relocated to Rapid City and continued in the automotive field in Brandon, working for Collyers' and Brandon Auto. Stu made many friends and acquaintances over the years and was always ready to lend a hand when needed. He had a great sense of humour and wit, which would always bring a smile and a chuckle to everyone he met. In 1984, Stu retired to enjoy the country life and the outdoors. He was pre-deceased by two infant children and his parents, Victor and Alice Kille. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeanette, his son, Barry (Jean) Kille of Edmonton, granddaughters, Nicole, Carmen and Vicki Kille all of Edmonton; brother, Les (Muriel) Kille of Brandon; nephews, Ron, Don, Rick and Randy Kille and their families; and Uncle Maurice Varcoe and his wife of Victoria, B.C. The Graveside Funeral Service was held at the Rapid City Cemetery, Thursday, May 10, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Interment was in the Varcoe/Kille plot. A lovely service was conducted by Mona Franklin. Honorary pallbearers were all in attendance. Donations in memory of Stu may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 437 - 9th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 4A9 or the Sun Fund for Kids, 501 Rosser Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 0K4.
