ZOLINSKI: Stanley Zolinski, formerly of Fairview Home, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Stanley was born on April 23, 1924 in Meleb, Manitoba the son of Harry and Lena Zolinski. He was raised on the farm and received his education in a one room country school. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1940 - 1945 at bases in Thunder Bay and Shilo. Stanley spent 31 years as a crane operator for HBM&S in Flin Flon. He also worked in bicycle repairs and sales, had a wood lot business and as a farmer. Stanley was a member of the Legion and the Flin Flon Curling Club. He enjoyed gardening, curling, hunting, fishing, cribbage, berry picking, wine making and smoking fish. He built his own home and two cabins. Stanley will be forever remembered by his children, Susan Klyne, Steve (Wanda) Zolinski, Mike Zolinski (Esther), Ron (Patty) Zolinski; grandchildren, Carole (Steve), Rupert (Sandy), Kari and Terry, Chad (Holly), Brett and Jason. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Helen; daughters-in-law, Lorna Zolinski and Diane Zolinski (Selena (Darryl) Moar); great grandchildren, Dustin, Patrick, Ashton, Bradley, Keira, Morgan, Kiana and Alex; and one brother, Carl. Stanley was predeceased by his parents; sons, Leonard and Terry; and daughter, Marsha; siblings, Mary, Joe, Tony, Michael, Phyllis and Ann. The Ceremony to Celebrate Stanley's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Monday, April 3, 2006 with Rev. Michael Skliros, Legion Padre officiating. Pallbearers were: Terry Zolinski, Chad Zolinski, Dustin Klyne, Bradley Reimer, Ashton Klyne and Darryl Moar. Interment followed in the Veterans' Section of the Brandon Cemetery.
