Affectionately known as "Mr. Saturday Night" (due to his flamboyant attire and mannerisms) and "Pop" to his grand and great grandchildren, has left the building!
Stanley caught the CN Passenger Train, train pass in hand, with a song in his heart and a smile on his face on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. No luggage – but he did take our love and hearts – full of great memories, prayers, and blessings with him.
Stan was as easy going, gentle soul, who loved his family, pets and his sports, golfing and curling (and not necessarily in that order!)
We are all very thankful to have had him in our lives and he will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Isabel, daughters Dawn and Dianna and their families.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle and friend.
Our sincere thanks to Valleyview Care Centre staff for all your tender care and support.
Thanks to the residents and friends that he met at Valleyview. A special thank you to Pat and Cliff, your kindness and support is so appreciated.
Thank you to Dr. J. Roux and Dr. D. Caplan for all your care and attention prior to and during dad's illness.
No service by request. Cremation has taken place with a private family memorial to be held at a later date.
"Safe journey Pop!"
