GREEN: Stanley Wayne Green of Brandon passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on September 22, 2008. Wayne was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan on July 14, 1949, the youngest child of Anne and Stanley Green. He worked at various jobs, settling in at INCO in Thompson. He met Carol Staska and they were married in 1977. Their son Kyle was born in Thompson before their move to Brandon. In Brandon, Chad and Ryan were born. After leaving Thompson, Wayne operated his own business, Green's Fertilizer Services, repairing fertilizer equipment. After that he operated a courier business. Wayne enjoyed playing many sports, hockey, baseball, golf and bowling. He enjoyed being at the cabin at Sandy Lake. He enjoyed all aspects of camping, teaching his grandsons Gavin and Kaden the joys of camping. Wayne leaves his wife, Carol; sons, Kyle and daughter-in-law, Donann, Chad and Ryan and his two grandsons, Gavin and Kaden. He also leaves a brother, Murray (Judy) Green and sister, Gloria (Tom) Strilchuk, his mother-in-law, Frances Staska, sisters-in-law, Verna Staska, Joan (Steve) Kowerko, Lorraine (Bruce) Miller. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 2:30 pm. The Rev. Harvey Hurren officiated. Honorary pallbearers were: Bill Stephens, Steve Kowerko, Bruce Miller, Murray Green and Tom Strilchuk. Pallbearers were: Murray Kowerko, Jeff Hanna, Tyler Stephens, Nick Wereseiuk, Daniel Ledoyen and Bill John. Following cremation a private interment was held at the Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
