On the beautiful fall morning of Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the Lord made a call to a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and then swept her away into Heaven to help him.
Shirley Mary Boychuk was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to her parents John and Mary Swan. Shirley attended school in Fort Garry and began her working career at an early age at Eatons in Winnipeg. She later worked for many years at Safeway and an automotive distribution center.
Shirley met her beloved husband, Dave, while he was working at a service station near her house. They married in 1961 and were soon blessed with two sons, Dean and Darren. In 1971, the family moved to Brandon to open their own business, where they thrived as ongoing business owners over the following decades.
Shirley was deeply involved in her sons' sporting events and was a passionate fan. She cherished traveling with her sisters and family, and she found immense joy in spending time with her grand and great-grandchildren, always being their biggest supporter.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Dave; her sons, Dean (Sandy) Boychuk and Darren (Laurie) Boychuk; her grandchildren, Val (Daniel) Mondor, Steph (Kyle) Anderson, Jordan (Kassandra) Boychuk, and Samantha Boychuk; and her great-grandchildren, Payton, Quinn, Ryder, Maverick, Billy, Charlie, Jackson, Grayson, Poppy, Julian, and Riley and her sisters Jane Mazer, and Gail (John) Harder.
Shirley's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
