We are saddened to announce that Sharon Jennie Congdon peacefully passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, under the loving care of the Fairview Care Home.

Sharon was born in Carman, Manitoba on August 19, 1948, the eldest child of Audrey and Lloyd Foster. She is survived by her younger sister Debbie Sparrow.

Sharon spent most of her life in Brandon, Manitoba, married to Doug Doan. They had 2 children, Jennifer (deceased), and Christopher.

Sharon graduated from Neelin high school and resumed her education at Assiniboine Community College taking bookkeeping and secretary courses.

Sharon went on to become a legal secretary for several of Brandon's law offices throughout the 80's and 90's, before taking a position at the Brandon courthouse as a clerk and coordinator. It was at the courthouse where she met her 2nd husband Willis Congdon.

Sharon become part of the Congdon family in 1999, and become the stepmom to Heather, Graham, and Brad, and wife to Bill until her passing.

She retired from the Provincial courthouse in 2012 and enjoyed a retirement where she pursued her joy of reading, walking, gardening, fine dining, and traveling Europe with husband Willis.

Sharon succumbed to the complications of Dementia after a 4-year battle. During that time, she received the best of care from Victoria Landings, the Assiniboine Center, and Fairview Personal Care Home.

She is survived by husbands Willis (Heather, Graham, and Brad); ex husband Doug and the Doan family; son Chris (Shelley); sister Debbie (Lorne, Shannon, Kelly, and Haily) and the Sparrow family.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2025 and a private Cemetery Service will take place.
