FRASER: The death of Selina Elizabeth "Bessie" Fraser occurred at her residence, Hillcrest Personal Care Home, on Sunday, October 6, 2002. Bessie was born in Melita, Manitoba on August 28, 1911, the daughter of Sam and Kate Wyatt. She married Harry Fraser in 1939 and they had one daughter, Joyce. Bessie worked for many families in need from 1944 to 1976, keeping house, being a mother to many and always showing that she cared, for some until the end. She enjoyed knitting and was always making afghans and mitts for anyone who needed them. Bessie was a member of the Golden Link Rebekah Lodge #7 since 1947. Bessie is survived by her daughter Joyce (Edwin) Randall of Brandon; grandchildren; Cam (Cindy) of Auburn, Washington, Chris of Winnipeg, MB, Leanne of Calgary, AB, and Fraser (Sharalee) from Athabasca, AB, great grandchildren; Calen and Carley and Wyatt. She was predeceased by her parents; Sam and Kate Wyatt, husband; Harry Fraser, and three brothers; Tom, Jack, and Bill Wyatt. The Funeral Service was held at the Victoria United Church, Melita, Manitoba on Friday, October 11, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Cooke officiated. Pallbearers were: Cam Randall, Chris Randall, Leanne Randall, Fraser Randall, Eugene Fraser, and Art Godfrey. Interment followed at the Melita Cemetery.
