SARAH ELIZABETH MCLARTY
OCTOBER 26, 1918 – JUNE 20, 2015

Sarah McLarty passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the age of 96 years. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack), sister Violet Baker and brothers John and Elmer Black. Mom is survived by children Donald (Sandra), Murray (Debra) and Sharon (Garry) Dirr; grandchildren Ryan (Jolene), Corey (Jennifer), Shaun (Danielle), Colin (Lisa), Tasha (Tobin) and Jordan (Karly); great-grandchildren Theron, Kalan, Ryker, Cadence, Asher, Kaylee and Conner. Sarah is also survived by her brother Ernest (Verna) Black, sister Etta Tutthill, sister-in-law Hazel McLarty and many nieces and nephews. Mom was a very creative person doing crafts, sewing and quilting for many years. She enjoyed living at the Lions Manor for the past 15 years and took part in many activities there including the kitchen band, choir, quilting and playing cards. The Funeral Service will take place at Knox United Church, 451 18th Street, on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Craig Miller officiating. Due to construction, parking is available south of the church in the MTS parking lot. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
