Obituary

BUDD: Sally. Sadly, on March 27, 2000, Sally was taken from us. Her passing has left behind many sisters, nieces, nephews and friends with a large emptiness in their lives. An emptiness which, with the passing of time, will soon fill with some of the simplest and happiest memories we will cherish forever. We are thankful to her for sharing her spirit with us. She will be remembered as someone who was always there to listen to your story; forgetting her own life in order to focus on yours. She listened with love, patience and without passing judgement on those who came to her. Sally was an irreplaceable human being who will always have a special place in our hearts. In her final days she did manage to fine the strength to say that in spite of it being a hard life, it was a happy life. We love you Sally and will greatly miss you. Thank you for being there for us. Sally was predeceased by her mother and father, Barbara and Hnat Budiwski; brother Bill Budiwski; and infant sister Tina. Sally will be mourned by all those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her sisters, Ann Chrun of Brandon, Elsie (Bill) Sawchuk and Olive Budd of Winnipeg; many loving nieces and nephews, especially Joe and Eleanor Phillips of Brandon who were always there to offer support and a helping hand. Sally was born in Olha, Manitoba and attended Olha School. She then moved to Brandon and to her house on McDonald Avenue. There she lived for many years surrounded by nature which brought peace and comfort to her life. Her loves included books, cooking and her flower gardens. Sally was very fortunate and thankful to have as her closest friend Dorothy McLeod. Dorothy brought much happiness to Sally's life. A closer friend could not be had. She will be sadly missed by her homecare nurses, their souls were touched by her life. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. M. Egan and the nurses on the second floor of the Assiniboine Centre. Prayers were said Wednesday evening, March 29, 2000, at Memories Chapel. Divine Liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church on March 30, 2000 with Fr. Victor Yakowchuk as Celebrant assisted by Mr. Tony Yuriy. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Sally may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 8 - 940 Princess Ave., Brandon, R7A 0P6. Arrangements were with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.

Life is not measured by it's length but by it's depth.
