RATZ, John - At Royal Terrace, Palmerston, on Monday, September 15, 2003. Russell John Ratz of Harriston, in his 80th year. Husband of June (Rayson) Manderson Ratz; father of Gwen Healey of British Columbia, Russell Ratz and his wife Vannisa of Alberta, Ron Ratz and his wife Mary Ann of B.C., Lornie Ratz of B.C. and Ladyna Ratz of Orillia. Step-father of Harvey and Marg Manderson of Guelph, Lloyd Manderson of Harriston, Brent and Julie Manderson of Fergus and Cam and Judy Manderson of Harriston. Loved also by his 10 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and one step-great granddaughter. Brother of Gordon Ratz and his wife Evelyn, Ken Ratz and his wife Shirley, Dorothy Joynt and her husband Vern and Ethel Clark and brother-in-law of Roberta Ratz all of Manitoba. Predeceased by his son, Leslie Ratz, his sister, Betty Ratz; his brother Harvey Ratz and his brother-in-law, Al Clark. Freinds may call at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston today (Wednesday) from 3:30 to 5:30 and 7 to9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, September 19 at 2 p.m. Following cremation, interment in Brandon, Manitoba. A Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.

Husband of June (Rayson) Manderson Ratz; father of Gwen Healey of British Columbia, Russell Ratz (Vannisa) of Alberta, Ron Ratz (Mary Ann) of British Columbia and Ladyna Ratz of Ontario. He is also survived by his step-sons Harvey (Marg) Manderson , Lloyd Manderson, Brent (Julie) Manderson, Cam (Judy) Manderson all of Ontario. He was loved by his 10 grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and one step-great granddaughter. His brothers Gordon (Evelyn) Ratz, Ken (Shirley) Ratz; sisters Dorothy (Vern) Joynt, Ethel Clark and sister-in-law Roberta Ratz all of Manitoba also survive him. John was predeceased by his son Leslie Ratz; sister Betty Ratz; brother Harvey Ratz and brother-in-law Al Clark.



RATZ: Russell John Ratz passed away on Monday, September 15, 2003 at Royal Terrace, Palmerston, Ontario in his 80th year. The graveside service will be held at the family plot, Brandon Cemetery on Saturday, October 4, 2003 at 2:15 pm. The Rev. Glenna Beauchamp will officiate. Family and friends are asked to gather in the north-east corner of the cemetery off Aberdeen Avenue behind Canadian Tire at 2:00 pm.
