ZOLINSKI: Ronald Peter Zolinski passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Ronald was born on November 13, 1960 in Flin Flon, Manitoba. In 1986, he moved to Brandon where he bought his first of many semis and did long haul trucking. On February 18, 1992, Ron married Patty and they had two sons Jason and Brett. Ron's best moments in his life were spent with his wife and sons. They enjoyed camping, boating, tubing and fishing. Ron enjoyed selective gardening and watching his boys participate in sports. He also enjoyed fishing trips with his buddies up north. Ron has had a large following of family and friends. He was a social convener of family events, whether they wanted it or not. Ron was a perfectionist and his attitude was "if you're going to do it, do it right." Even with this attitude he remained a laid back, relaxed person. Ron was an entrepreneur and loved the open highway. Ron will be greatly missed by his wife Patty; son's Brett and Jason; mother Helena; sister Susan, and her family Carole (Steve), Rupert (Sandy); brothers: Steve (Wanda), their children Kari and Terry, Mike (Esther); sisters-in-law: Diane, and family Selena (Darryl), Lorna and family Chad (Holly). Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, mother and father-in-law and many friends. Ron was predeceased by his father Stan; brothers Leonard and Terry and his sister Marsha. Ron was very appreciative to all the staff on the palliative unit and Dr. Fourie. They helped the family get through a very difficult time and we will always be grateful for that. The Ceremony to Celebrate Ronald's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Monday, June 2, 2008 with Joanne Biggs officiating. Private interment followed in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre Foundation, Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 2B3. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com. Arrangements were with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
