PEELER: Ronald Alvin Peeler, beloved husband of Muriel and dear father of Sharon and Carol, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, November 2, 2005. Ron was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 1, 1921 and received his education in the Oak River area. He worked for Barrs Transfer and then went on to a career with the Department of Highways for over 40 years. He retired in 1988. Ron enjoyed his retirement years around Brandon and at their cabin at Ditch Lake. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Muriel; daughters, Sharon (Bob) Ernest and Carol (Don) Teale; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Tom of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Rolf and Evelyn Peeler; brother, Gerald; father and mother-in-law, Art and Verlie Forbes and sister-in-law, Helen Forbes. Upon Ron's request a private service was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, November 3, 2005.
