Obituary

The death of Ronald Adam Esplen, of Forrest, beloved husband of Donna, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, March 30, 2001. Ron was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Claude and Jean Esplen on July 8, 1930. Ron attended school in Regina and Kipling, Saskatchewan. Ron had several different careers over the years, Taxi Driver, Bartender, Farmer, Bus Building to his most recent job as Delivery Driver for Palmer Ent. (Rick and Sue Palmer of Brandon). He enjoyed working in the yard, taking care of his lawn and flower beds. Ron loved to visit and play with his grandson, Bailey (age 2 years). He loved to visit and have coffee with numerous friends. Ron is survived by his wife, Donna Lynn; stepson, Jim Powne; stepdaughter, Krista (Scott) Dreger and grandson, Bailey; son, Scott (Sandy) Kehler, grandchildren, Chloe, Lexine and Dillon; son, Howard (Noel) Kehler, grandson, Jakson; and brothers, Brian (Laura) of Hawaii and their children, Brian Jr., Cathy and Donna; Barry (Shirley) of Moab, Utah and their children, Terry and Carlyn. Ron was pre-deceased by his father, Claude in 1959 and his mother, Jean in 1966, as well as nephew, Dale Winter in 1988. The Ceremony to Celebrate Ron's Life was held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 at 1:00 pm. Urnbearer was Jack Espy. Interment followed in the Brandon Cemetery. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Ron to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 - 1st Street, Brandon, R7A 2W8. Arrangements were with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
