EILERS: The death of Ronald Eilers occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, May 8, 2005. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 10:00 am. The Rev. Fr. Leo Fernandes of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church will officiate. EILERS: The death of Ronald Eilers occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Sunday, May 8, 2005. Ron was born on March 17, 1923 in Lawler, Iowa, USA the son of Joseph and Christine Eilers. The family moved to the Fertile, Saskatchewan area in 1929. Ron completed high school in Fertile and farmed there until his retirement in 1972. He later moved to Brandon, where he has resided for the last 15 years. Ron enjoyed playing ball and curling, as well as painting and reading. He will be lovingly remembered by his three brothers, Arthur (Phyllis) of Melita, Clifford (Jean) of Regina and Joseph (Bertha) of Brandon; as well as seven nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Christine Eilers; brother, Donald Henry Eilers and nephew, David Michael Eilers.
