MAXWELL: It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of a beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, great-grandson and friend, Robin Garnet Maxwell, on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Robin was born December 19, 1981 in Winnipegosis, Manitoba. He attended school in Brandon, Virden, and graduated from Boissevain Collegiate in 2000. As a small boy he was shy and let his big brother Bill do the talking, but as he grew up, he became everyone's friend. During his school years he was in the choir (for a short time), air cadets, and played basketball and volleyball, receiving a few awards for his athletic abilities; Academically, he was happy if he passed. After graduating, Rob went on to pursue his passion as a Helicopter pilot. He married the one true love of his short life earlier this year on March 10th, and together they made their home in Thompson Manitoba. Robin marched to the beat of his own drum in everything he did, including his fashion sense and hairstyles. He loved to be out in the Turtle Mountains, either camping, hunting, or trapping. When he met Kristin, he found someone to share his joys with. This was the happiest time of his life. The two things he loved most were his beautiful wife and soul mate and his career as a pilot. Rob will be sadly missed by his wife Kristin of five short months; parents Ed and Wendy Maxwell of Brandon; brother Bill (Heidi); nephew Sawyer; niece Ellie of Coaldale; sister Carley (Tory Campbell) of Lethbridge; In-laws Lorne and Mary Chadney of High River; sister-in-law Becky (Bryan Wilton) of Calgary; brother-in-law James of Calgary; grandparents Garnet and Marie Hobbs, and Keith and Lucille Maxwell of Deloraine; great-grandmother Frances Truax of Deloraine; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A Celebration of Robin's life was held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, August 16, 2007, at 2:00 pm. Thanks for the memories Robin. We will miss you very much and remember your smile. You will always be with us in our hearts. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com.
