Voodre: After a lengthy illness, Robert James "Bob" Voodre, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 23, 2003 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, at the age of 71 years. He was predeceased by: his father in 1973, his mother in 1991, one sister and two brothers-in-law. He will be sadly missed by: his wife Nettie, daughter Dawna and two sons, Laurence (Elena) and Kevin (Erin) Voodre. He also leaves one sister, Ruth May. There are many nieces and nephews surviving. Bob was born in Killarney, Manitoba on August 12, 1932. On May 20, 1961, he married Nettie Enns and they moved to Brandon to reside. Bob was a devoted husband and dad and loved his family dearly. He worked at Powell Equipment, Canadian Motors and Manco Dairies for many years, retiring from the dairy. Church and music were a big part of his life. He also loved his garden, flowers, fishing and going out for coffee with his friends. The funeral service was held at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church on Friday, November 28, 2003. Viewing took place at the church prior to the service. Rev. Larry Janz and Pastor Bob Drumm officiated. Interment followed in the Rivers Mennonite Cemetery.
