HAYNE: Robert Hayne, beloved husband of Audrey, dear father of Kevin and Sheryl and Papa to Kyler and Konnor, passed away peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, April 25, 2005. Bob was born on May 9, 1918 on the family farm at Pelican Lake. He attended Tisdale School, in the R.M. of Turtle Mountain. After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WW II, he worked as a farm equipment mechanic in Alberta. Bob returned to Manitoba and married Audrey Lowry of Darlingford, MB on July 20, 1954 and they resided in Killarney. Bob and Audrey raised two children; Kevin of Winnipeg and Sheryl of Brandon. His grandsons Kyler and Konnor were his pride and joy. In 1963, the family moved to Carman where Bob was employed with CCIL and Co-op Farm Machinery. After raising their children they retired to Brandon. During retirement Bob and Audrey enjoyed their summers at the cottage at Pelican Lake. Bob's greatest enjoyment was playing the guitar and entertaining with local bands. His musical talent and quick wit will be missed by his family and friends. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Mary (nee Stevens) Hayne; brother Ernie and his wife Elsie. He is survived by his wife Audrey; children, Kevin and Sheryl; grandchildren, Kyler and Konnor.
