CRAWFORD: Robert James "Jim" Crawford passed away at his residence, Fairview Home on Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Jim was born at Killarney, Manitoba on October 23, 1918. He grew up on a farm with his father and two brothers and attended West Derby School to grade eight. Jim worked at various farms in the Killarney and Swan River areas. In 1938, he married Jessie Firby and farmed with his father until signing up with the army. As a farmer, Jim took great interest in animals including jersey cows, mules, horses, donkeys and goats. Jim was also a trucker and weed supervisor during his lifetime. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Killarney and the Killarney Fair Board. Jim was predeceased by his parents, William John and Mary; brothers George and Archie; sister Margaret Weber and sisters and brothers-in-law. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jessie; daughters Judy (Bill) Cox and Judy's children Brenda Huard, Pam Hiebert and families; Jackie (Bob) Johnston. A private family service will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined.
