Robert H. (Bob) Carey passed away at his residence in Fairview Home on Sunday, April 29, 2001. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, on May 11, 1920, the only child of Jack and Marion Carey. Upon receiving his education in Toronto, Bob joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1939, leaving in 1954. Bob worked as a civil servant at Rivers Air Force base, then at Shilo Army base until his retirement. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mildred in 1977, his father Jack in 1983, son-in-law, Doug Mott in 1984, his mother Marion in 1992 and granddaughter Kimberly Painter in 1997. Bob leaves to mourn his passing his daughter, Gloria (Wayne) Tingey, granddaughter Teresa (Mark) Wilson and their children Jamie and Erin, his great grandchildren, Brian, Blair and Megan Painter and their father Mark, his first cousin, Irene Crittenden of England and several nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North, on Wednesday, May 02, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Don Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
