BURNS: The death of Robert Alexander "Bob" Burns, beloved husband of Pat, occurred suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, January 26, 2007. The Ceremony to Celebrate Bob's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. BURNS: Robert Alexander "Bob" Burns, of Brandon, passed away suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Friday, January 26, 2007. Bob was born in Brandon on August 29, 1940, the son of Alexander and Hazel Burns. He grew up in Shilo, MB where he attended O'Kelly School and met his best friend, Ron Whitmore. He also became very close to his extended mother, Gladys Whitmore and her entire family. Bob later moved to Brandon where he attended Neelin High School and met his future wife, Pat. He began his working career at Kullberg's as a salesman, then driving truck for MacArthur & Son. Bob then spent several years working for CN Railway before working at Simplot, where he retired after 27 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, Scottish music, playing bingo and above all else, he enjoyed man's best friend, his dog, Mitzi. Bob will be lovingly remembered by: his wife, Patricia; sons, Steve (Noah) and Rick (Nancy); grandchildren, Dustin, Jared, Nikkia, Kylee and Braeden all of Sherwood Park, AB and extended mother, Gladys Whitmore of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by his brother, Terry (Lorna) of Chilliwack, BC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill Gadd of Brandon, Harvey (Ruth) Langton of Pinder Harbour, BC, Lorne (Shirley) Langton of New Westminister, BC, Barb (Roy) Dupont of Ladysmith, BC and Sandra (Al) Vergaeghe of Nanaimo, BC and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander (1981) and Hazel (2005); mother and father-in-law, Ida (1978) and Charles (1998) Gadd. The Ceremony to Celebrate Bob's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Urn Bearer will be son, Richard.
