Obituary

Raymond Ralph Wiggins of #4 Meadowlark Trailer Court, Brandon, beloved husband of Margaret, dear father of Janice, passed away at his residence in Brandon on Monday, August 16, 1999. Ray was born on June 10, 1940 at Carlyle, Saskatchewan, son of Ralph and Anne Wiggins. He received his education in Manor and in the early years he rode his pony to school. Ray served in the R.C.A.F. from 1956-1959. He then worked on road construction, the pipe line and on oil rigs. He then chose his lifelong love of trucking, working with Beaver Trucking, Issac Trucking, Ontario (cattle hauling), Arnold Brothers, Paul's Hauling, Trimac, Wildwood and Tri-Line until he was forced to come off the road due to his illness. At this time Ray enjoyed his cabin at Clear Lake and new found interest of golf. Over the years, Ray was a member of the C.B. Club, the Sno-Goers, the Brandon Club, A.N.A.F. Club and various golf clubs. Ray especially enjoyed owning his own truck,"being his own Boss" and as a result received many Truck Driving Awards. Ray will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret of 34 years, daughter, Janice Wiggins (Brian Smith) and cherished granddaughter Raquel Wiggins-Smith of Flin Flon. He also leaves his mother, "Tootie" Wiggins of Manor, Saskatchewan and sister, Vivian Cutler and niece, Kim (Larry) all of Morden. There are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Gordon Douglas Wiggins in 1965 and his father, Ralph Ewen Wiggins in 1975. The ceremony to celebrate Ray's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, August 18, 1999. The Rev. Bob Wiebe officiated. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends may make a donation in memory of Ray to the Canadian Cancer Society, 42 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, R7A 2B2.

WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO
Cancer is so limited;
It cannot cripple love;
It cannot shatter hope;
It cannot erode faith;
It cannot destroy peace;
It cannot kill friendship;
It cannot surpass memories;
It cannot silence courage;
It cannot invade the soul;
It cannot steal eternal life;
It cannot conquer the spirit.
Always loved!
