DAVISON: Raymond "Ray", beloved brother of John and Karen, passed away suddenly on June 12, 2007 at his residence. Born on December 18, 1952 in Blyth, Northumberland, England, he was the third child of Joseph "Joe" and Margaret "Peggy" Davison. The family immigrated to Canada in November of 1957. In his youth, Ray attended David Livingstone School, McLaren School, and Neelin High School. Ray had various hobbies over the years but his main passion was soccer! He played soccer until the age of 29 when an accident caused him to lose his leg. Ray was very proud of himself when he bought his first home as a young man. He was a terrible tease and loved to torment his young nieces and nephew, much to their delight, and sometimes dismay. Ray worked several years at Burns Meat Factory, also at Shilo Kitchens, and the last few years at Maple Leaf Foods. Ray was predeceased by his parents Joe (1982) and Peggy (2001). Ray leaves to mourn his brother John and his family: Pam, Kristine, Joey, Tiffany and Melissa; sister Karen (Ed) Beam and their family Jennifer, Megan and Robin; former wife Shelley Davison and several cousins, aunts, an uncle, great nieces and nephews. A memorial service to honour Ray's memory will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Harvey Hurren of Knox United Church will officiate. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Ray may be made to the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17th Street East, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 7M6 or the Westman Dreams for Kids Foundation, Unit 202, 37 - 11th Street, Brandon, Manitoba R7A 4J2 or to a charity of choice. Expressions of sympathy may be made at www.memorieschapel.com. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
