Obituary

HAMNETT: The death of Polly Hamnett, beloved wife of David of Rivers, occurred at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB on Sunday, November 16, 2003. She was born on November 6, 1939 in Chicago, Ill. She married David Hamnett on October 6, 1984 and resided in the Continental Divide, New Mexico before moving to Rivers. Polly worked as a bank teller, and made Indian jewelry and catered. She attended Faith Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed working with the children in Awanas. She had a special love for women facing unplanned pregnancies and volunteered for the local Crisis Pregnancy Centre. Polly is survived by, her husband Dave Hamnett; two daughters LeAnn Foutz and Lendy Tate; and three stepsons Eric, Ernie and Kelly Hamnett. Four grandchildren, Jennifer and Melanie Foutz; Mikaela and Devon Tate; one step-granddaughter Maya Hamnett; step father Robert Jemerson; sister Sandra (Robert) Smith; nephew Robert W. Smith and niece Jamie Giffen also survive her. She was predeceased by: her father William Vander Valk; mother Doris Jemerson and granddaughter Jessica Tate. The Funeral Service was held at Faith Fellowship Baptist Church on Thursday, November 20, 2003. Pastor Brian Kirsch officiated. Interment followed in the St. George's Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
