Phyllis Jean Pohanayko of Brandon passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2000 at the age of 54 years at the Brandon Regional Heath Centre. Phyllis was born on November 17, 1945 to John and Mary Mychasiw of Olha, Manitoba. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie of Brandon, her son, Stephen and friend Anne Henry of Brandon. She also leaves her loving mother, Mary of Winnipeg, three sisters and one brother; Nettie, Grace of Winnipeg, and Evelyn of Hartney, Lawrence of Winnipeg, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Peter on July 4, 1975, and infant son Andrew in 1968. The Funeral service will be held at Memories Chapel, 330 - 18th Street North, on Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Father Victor Yakowchuk will officiate. Cantor will be Mr. Peter Romanik. Interment at Oakburn Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Oakburn, at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 - 1st Street, Brandon.
