GRANTHAM: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Phyllis Gayle Grantham, beloved wife of Phil, at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, November 18, 2006. Gayle was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 18, 1944. During her early years she enjoyed embroidery and spending time with friends and family. She attended school in Winnipeg through to the eleventh grade. Once her family started, Gayle became a full time mother and homemaker but also worked in the dietary department at the Fairview Personal Care Home and as a Teacher's Aide during her lifetime. She also volunteered at the George Fitton Elementary School. Gayle enjoyed gardening, her flowers, reading, music and loved dancing. Gayle will be lovingly remembered by her husband Phil; sons Rob (Rhonda) and their children Tia and Ryan, Mike (Lisa) and children Jason and Kayla, Andrew (Val) and their son Jack and sister Lynne (Robert) Colgan. Gayle was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Agnes Smith. The Ceremony to Celebrate Gayle's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2006.
