Obituary
NEUFELD: The death of Peter Cornelius Neufeld, beloved husband of Lydia and dear father of Bernard, Marie, Joyce and Darcy, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, December 18, 2004. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, December 23, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Peter to the charity of choice. Complete obituary information will follow. NEUFELD: The death of Peter Cornelius Neufeld occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Saturday, December 18, 2004. Peter was born in Tiegenhagen, the Ukraine, Russia on July 28, 1924. He immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of nine months. They settled and farmed in Lena, Manitoba. Peter and Lydia married in 1951 and moved to Brandon in 1953, where he worked in the construction industry until his retirement at the age of sixty years. Peter enjoyed various outdoor activities including fishing, gardening and woodworking. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Lydia Neufeld; sons, Bernie and Darcy (Rona); daughters, Marie (Bob) Malo and Joyce (Jay) Woodmass; eleven grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius and Katherine (nee Lohrenz) Neufeld; brothers-in-law, Abe Froese and Wilfred Woodcock. The Funeral Ceremony was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, December 23, 2004. Pallbearers were his grandsons: Ryan Woodmass, Justin Woodmass, Jason Neufeld, Riley Neufeld, Scott Malo and Christopher Neufeld. Honorary Bearers were: Raymond Huscroft and Reinie Weenink.
