KOZAK: With great sadness, Peter passed away at Hillcrest Place on March 18, 2007, with his family by his side, following a brief illness. Peter was born June 15, 1913 to Jake and Julia at Elma, Manitoba. Peter was raised in a family consisting of six brothers and a sister. At the age of 29, Peter married Kay (Catherine Kazmerick) on May 8, 1943 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In the early years of their marriage, Pete owned and operated several gravel trucks, hauling gravel for Good Roads. During this time, they also purchased a farm in Arden, Manitoba. Throughout their 35 years in Arden, they raised two children - a son Jim and a daughter Dianne. Dad and Mom retired from the farm in 1979, and moved to their new home in Neepawa. Mom passed away in 1989 and Dad continued to live in their home until 2004 when failing health brought him till Hillcrest Nursing Home in Brandon, to be closer to his children. Hillcrest became home until his passing. Peter will always be remembered by his two children, Jim (Judy), Dianne (Harvey) and four grandchildren: Mark (Colleen), Christy (Berk), Jolene (Troy) and Lindsay. He also leaves, three great grandchildren: Benjamin and Maisie Kozak and Ryder Crowe; three brothers: John, Steve and Phillip (Helen), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Ceremony to Celebrate Peter's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330- 18th Street North, on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 11:00 am. Dad we will never forget that smile, we love you and will always miss you.

You were always there when we needed you,
No task too great or small.
With a loving heart and willing hand,
For us you did them all.
Thanks for the years you gave us,
And for the great times we shared.
We only pray that when you left us,
You knew how much we cared.
God saw you getting tired,
When a recovery was not to be,
He put his arms around you,
And said, "Come unto Me".
We know you were tired,
And you needed a rest.
His garden must be beautiful,
For he only takes the best.Memorials
