BOYD: Peter Allan James Boyd was taken from us too suddenly in a terrible vehicle accident on Wednesday, November 24, 2004. He is survived and loved by his fiancT, Corrie Hipwell; mother, Laurie Nicholls; father, Allan Boyd; half sister, Sairene and a large extended family, who each held a special place in his big heart. Peter was born on April 7, 1975 in Minnedosa, MB. He attended and graduated from Minnedosa Collegiate in 1995. Growing up, Peter spent most of his summers and spare time at his grandmother's farm in Neepawa. There he developed his love of animals and drive for hard work. He later moved to Brandon and worked at Sunnybrook Ranch where he started to apply his talents with horses. He was told of a position with Neufield Construction and took it, eager to start learning something new. There he learned the art of concrete and carried it over to Powell Construction where he worked for the past four years. Peter took great pride in his work, always driving past the houses whose basements and driveways he poured and finished. He always commented on how he loved the way he could look around town at all the buildings he helped create. It will be a reminder to us all when we go to the many new businesses in Brandon and realize that "Pete helped make this". He met his fiancT Corrie, through their love of horses at Sunnybrook Ranch, where she then and now works. He took wonderful care of her and always let her know how much he loved her. They have lived together for almost five years, and just in May bought their first house. After settling in, intentions were to finally make plans for the wedding and start a family of their own. The Ceremony to Celebrate Peter's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Saturday, November 27, 2004. Rev. Shawn Ankenmann officiated. Peter's father, Allan, was the Urn Bearer. A great thank you is extended to all who attended. Peter had a big heart that obviously touched a lot of people. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Peter to a charity of choice. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to memorieschapel@mts.net. Arrangements were with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
Peter, you will be missed and loved forever.
