GEYSEN: The death of Pazga "Pansy" Geysen, beloved wife of Fred, mother of Rosemarie, mother-in-law of Stanley and grandmother of Alex and Katie, occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, September 15, 2008. A Memorial Reception will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Manor, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pansy may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 3 - 824 - 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba, R7A 5B7. GEYSEN: Pazga (Pansy) Geysen. It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Pazga Geysen on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Pazga leaves to mourn her beloved husband Fred, daughter Rosemarie Svendsen (Stanley), grandchildren Alexander and Kathleen and her sister Elsie Toews (Don). She is also survived by sister-in-law Leona Brimner, sister-in-law Sharon Geysen, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Anna (Broz) Gutowski, an infant brother and her brother Jim. Pazga was born in Walkleyburg, Manitoba on March 10, 1934. She trained as a psychiatric nurse at Selkirk Mental Health Centre, graduating in 1956. From there she moved to Baldur where she met her future husband. After their marriage Pazga and Fred moved to Souris and then eventually moved to and settled in Brandon in 1962. During her 28 year career in nursing she took great pride in her work and willingly shared her knowledge and experience to mentor upcoming nurses. After her retirement in 1990 she traveled often visiting family and friends. Her interests also included reading, gardening and farming with her husband. Pazga's memorial and viewing was held at Memories Chapel on September 18, 2008 and interment service was at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Manor, Saskatchewan on September 19th with Father Hengen officiating. Her pallbearers were her grandson Alexander, her son-in-law Stanley and her nephews Lynn Brimner and Kelly Brimner. Pazga's family would like to thank relatives, friends and neighbors for their enquiries and concern, their visits, prayers, food, expressions of condolence and charitable donations. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff of 4th floor, Brandon Regional Health Centre for their amazing support and caring of Pazga and us.
