Obituary

LALUK: Patsy Lee Laluk (nee Johnson) of Brandon, passed away, with her husband at her side, on June 12, 1999 at the age of 48 years after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born on May 27, 1951 in Glenboro, the fifth and youngest child of Phyllis and Herman Johnson. Pat was raised on the family farm outside of Stockton. She attended elementary school at Stockton and went on to high school in Glenboro, where she graduated. She went to Assiniboine Community College in Brandon, where she completed a bookkeeping course. On July 26, 1969, she married Ken Laluk. They raised two children in Brandon, Patricia and Wade. They enjoyed travelling together and were looking forward to Ken's retirement. Pat worked at First City Trust and Wal-Mart. She is survived by her loving husband Ken, son Wade and daughter, Patricia (Lance) Pizzariello and her only granddaughter, Christine Patsy Lee, born April 21, 1999. Pat also leaves her brothers; Wayne (Marg) Johnson, Laurie (Sigried) Johnson and sister, Jill Nowazek. A sister-in-law, Audrey Johnson and brothers-in-law, Bob (Noni) Laluk, Jim and Marvin Laluk also survive. There are numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Phyllis Johnson, mother-in-law, Erma Laluk and brother Brian Johnson. Pat cherished her family and friends and loved family get-togethers. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will follow. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Pat to either the Canadian Cancer Society, 42 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, R7A 2B2 or to the Brandon General Hospital Foundation, for Palliative Care, 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, R7B 2B3. Arrangements are with Memories Chapel & Pre-Planning Centre, 727-0330.
