CHAPMAN: The death of N. Ilene Chapman occurred at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, January 15, 2007. The Ceremony to Celebrate Ilene's Life will be held at Memories Chapel, 330-18th Street North, on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 10:00 am. The Very Reverend Robin Walker will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Ilene to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Complete obituary information will follow. CHAPMAN: Ilene (nee Pugh) Chapman was born in Holmfield, Manitoba on July 21, 1929 and raised in Ninga and Boissevain. She was educated in Hullett School and Killarney for high school. She married Leslie A. Chapman and they worked together in a grocery store in Killarney. Ilene worked at raising their three children Debra, Dean and Dianne). Her immediate and extended family was the main focus of her life. Her grandchildren Jennifer and Derrick were the great joy in her life. Ilene also worked for several years at Co-op on Princess Avenue and managed the Shell gas station on 18th Street in Brandon. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Ilene is survived by her children: Debra Leslie Chapman, Dean Russell Chapman (Marina), and Dianne Merle Watson (David); grandchildren Jennifer Michelle Chapman and Derrick Leslie Chapman. She is also survived by her brothers Russell and Roy Pugh; her sisters-in-law Jean (Ray) Pollock and Honey Chapman; brother-in-law Glen Chapman and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Anne (Hunt/Pugh) Taylor and George Henry Chapman. The Ceremony to Celebrate Ilene's Life was held at Memories Chapel on Thursday, January 18, 2007.
