FORBES: Nellie Francis Forbes passed away at her residence, Fairview Home, on Tuesday, December 20, 2005. Nellie was born on October 22, 1920 in Brandon, Manitoba the daughter of Ira and Fannie Forbes. She attended Fleming and Earl Oxford Schools, obtaining her grade 10 education. Nellie then took a business course to become a stenographer. She worked for Canada Credit Bureau, Harwood Limited, Powell Equipment, and then for the Brandon School Division for 18 years before retiring in 1980. Nellie was very involved with the Church of the Nazarene, where she was a Charter Member and she taught Sunday School. Nellie was predeceased by: her parents, Ira and Fannie; brothers, John and Wilmot; and sisters, Bessie and Esther Vera. She is survived by her niece, Joan (Murray) Drummond of Brandon as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at Church of the Nazarene, 411-9th Street, on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Peter O'Brien will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Friends who wish may make a donation in memory of Nellie to a charity of their choice.
